Overview
We are looking for a confident, highly-organised administrator to join a well-renowned educational establishment and assist them with various administrative duties.
Salary: up to £22,000
The Role
- To provide general assistance to the Company Director
- All Management of accommodation assisted by one member of staff on a part time basis
- Assist with general office management duties, including answering calls, liaising, and answering queries from Students, host families, Secondary Schools and Teachers
- Make enquiries and managing activities on behalf of the Company Director for events booking, transport management, school availability, co-ordination of groups and general management and running of educational programmes
- General IT administration, including data entry in systems, creating word documents, PowerPoint, database entries, financial inputs
- Answer the phone and deal appropriately with issues that arise while groups are over by phoning the appropriate people
- To deal with any Host Family problems and student problems effectively
- If necessary, attend entertainment evenings once per group, mostly with the company director taking teachers for drinks or dinners
- Cover occasional out of office hours events, such as Discos, airport and group meet & greet (time off in leiu applies if outside of usual hours)
- Other ad hoc duties

- IT literate (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
- Level-headedness and an ability to cope under pressure
- Forward thinking – if an activity does not work out (due to adverse weather, for example), the ability to decide contingency plans
- A willingness to travel locally at short notice
