Salary: to £45,000

Location: Clapham

The Role:

Maintain certification with all necessary bodies. Ensure company compliance with regard to procedures and where appropriate ensure change management implements any necessary improvements to procedures, including highlighting any necessary training requirements within the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure IMS meets the requirements of the business
  • Ensure the IMS conforms with the requirements of the relevant standards
  • Ensure the necessary arrangements for certificate renewal and surveillance visits are in place and effectively managed
  • Manage the improvements log to ensure all actions are closed out as required
  • Programme a series of internal audits to ensure all areas of the business are covered, and where appropriate all necessary corrective actions are closed out
  • Develop the IMS to ensure it continues to add value to the business
  • Work with training dept to ensure there is a full understanding of the IMS within the business, and that all managers are fully engaged with the procedures
  • All non-conformance are fully investigated and appropriate actions are effectively managed.
  • Ensure that any changes to the standards are fully and appropriately reflected in the companies procedures, and where appropriate all necessary training to reflect the changes is implemented within the business.


  • Suitably qualified (lead auditor) in at least two of the required standards (ISO 9001, ISO14001, OHSAS 18001)
  • Team management
  • Effective audit planning and preparation for surveillance and re-certification visits
  • Developing and managing an integrated management system
  • Strong knowledge of system design
  • Strong understanding of health and safety management and environmental management legislation

Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong management skills
  • Strong communication skills, can work at any level in the business
  • Ability to work on own initiative as well as lead a small team
  • Identifies areas for improvement and acts accordingly
  • Writes concise and effective reports
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Highly competent in Microsoft office suite
  • Articulate in both verbal and written communication
