A prestigious business based in Guildford are looking for someone with a proven track record in business development to help sell their services into local schools.

Salary: up to £40,000

The Role

  • Create new, and maintain existing, relationships with local schools.
  • Create opportunities for the company to meet with head teachers, education leads and other decision-makers in schools to sell in their services
  • Design and implement a strategic sales plan to expand customer base and grow sales
  • Set and achieve growth, sales, and targets by successfully motivating and managing the sales and marketing team
  • Achieve, or exceed, sales targets as set out in Business Plan
  • Ensure monthly sales and marketing reports are produced on time and include analysis for further development, and expansion of new products and results
  • Present reports to Senior Management Team on a monthly basis
  • Set and meet targets for expanding customer relationship management (CRM) database
  • Ensure excellent standards of customer service, with any complaints resolved promptly

Key Skills/Experience

  • Demonstrable sales experience with targets met and exceeded, preferably in the education or not-for-profit environment
  • Experience of developing and implementing successful sales plans
  • Experience of building business-to-business (B2B) relations
  • Experience of CRM, preferably Salesforce
  • Experience of project management
  • Good knowledge of education environment, in particular selling to schools
  • Good knowledge of effective sales techniques
  • Excellent IT skills and knowledge of Microsoft Packages
  • Excellent communicator, both verbally and written
  • Personable and motivating communicator, with ability to build relationships
  • Self-starter and driven to meet and exceed targets
  • Ability to analyse data and produce reports
  • Ability to motivate a small team
