Overview

We are looking to recruit a Business Development Manager for our West London based client

Salary: £25,000 to £35,000 OTE £45,000

The Role

  • Promote services to potential clients and win new business based on current business parameters
  • Generate leads, cold call prospective clients and endeavour to establish rapport.
  • Research of different markets identifying opportunities/new clients.
  • Developing quotes and proposals for clients.
  • Liaising with line manager on a daily/weekly basis to discuss performance.
  • Understand client needs and be able to respond effectively with a plan to meet these requirements.
  • Attending conferences, meetings and industry events when appropriate.
  • Where possible, meeting with potential new clients to help understand their requirements and promote our solutions.
  • Negotiating and renegotiating by phone, email, and in person.
  • Work strategically and carry out the necessary planning in order to maintain the required pipeline to meet targets.
  • Draw up client contracts accurately with all appropriate details.
  • Have a good understanding of the businesses’ products and services and be able to advise others about them.
  • Keep abreast of trends and changes in the market.
  • Accurately and regularly update the CRM with all relevant client, and prospective client, communications.
  • Informed and smooth handover of new business deals to the Account Manager, ensuring they are fully aware of all relevant details.
  • Researching and suggesting new relevant ways of generating new business leads through various forms of marketing

The Person

  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent telephone skills.
  • Strong written skills.
  • Strong communication skills and IT fluency.
  • Excellent time and workload management.
  • Experience in sales including cold calling and rapport building.
  • Ability to manage complex projects and multi-task.
  • Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty.
  • Must be able to use initiative.
  • Able maintain a professional attitude always.
  • Able to self-motivate.
