Overview

A well-established company based in Kingston are looking for an experienced sales professional to join them as a Business Development Manager and proactively generate new business for the company.

Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 + bonus

Job Specification

  • To liaise directly with customers and clients, face to face and over the telephone with regard to our product lines and services in a helpful and courteous manner.
  • To develop and expand current client base for the company.
  • To meet with clients and demonstrate the company’s products when necessary and where required
  • To travel to clients and stay away from home overnight and when necessary
  • To keep up to date with changes in the industry
  • To attend certain trade shows and networking environments as deemed necessary
  • To prepare as required necessary proposals and quotations for clients
  • To work alongside the other members of the business winning team and communicate effectively
  • To follow up customer enquiries and quotations on a timely basis and act in a ‘pro-active’ fashion
  • Actively use CRM for updating opportunities, managing accounts and contacts.
  • Supply timely market intelligence and forecasts to management.
  • To learn about the company and its activities in order to understand and deal with the customers

  • Deadline conscious-highly organised with the ability to prioritise and multi-task managing a challenging workload and meet strict deadlines

  • Maintain confidentiality of at all times
  • An awareness of health and safety policies, risk assessments and be proactive in implementing them
