Job Role
You’re an experienced Customer Service Executive and problem solver with an outstanding attention to detail and a passion for what you do. You’re hands-on and you use your initiative when dealing with mainly inbound calls from a range of customers querying about their insurance policy. Your role is:
- A largely inbound role taking calls from customers and helping customers with queries about their insurance policy
- Communicating with customers over the phone and in writing in a clear, concise and professional way
- Dealing with day to day administration duties in accordance with policy terms and conditions, within specified service levels, and in line with departmental procedures
- Making adjustments to policies, renewals, offer customers additional services, and liaise with underwriting and claims teams where needed
- Ensuring that all relevant data is collated and entered onto the system in a timely manner
- Handling complaints in a positive way, in line with FSA regulations
- Actively participating in and contribute towards continuous individual development and team targets
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Previous experience of working in Customer Service / Inbound Calls / Telesales / Call Centre
- Confident and enthusiastic with a desire to learn and develop through continuous training
- Good communication skills both verbal and written
- Strong interpersonal and organisational skills
- Positive attitude together with strong listening skills and a good telephone manner
- Ability to build relationships with the customers while achieving business targets
- Being able to work in a team
- Ability to prioritise multiple tasks and work under strict timescales
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Being able to handle complaints and difficult situations
- Ability and willingness to share knowledge and skills with less experienced members of the team through coaching and mentoring
- Experience of working within finance environment would be beneficial but not essential
