A leading digital and creative agency based in Kingston are looking for an experienced Front-End Web Developer to join their growing team.

Salary: up to £30,000 (DOE)

Work with others to collect requirements and write technical specifications
Developing and maintaining front-end applications using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (w/o JavaScript frameworks)
Carry out QA to investigate, diagnose and fix bugs
Working with designers to implement internal and external (client) feedback.
Write and maintain clear and comprehensive documentation to accompany your code
Introduce automated tests to ensure our code and apps continue to run reliably 24/7
Write code to create API’s or to integrate with 3rd party systems and API’s (social networks etc.)
Administering the LAMP stack (shell scripting, server configuration/administration, etc.)

Degree level qualification in a technical discipline, preferably CompSci or BSc Software Engineering.
Experience of HTML5, CSS3 and Javascript development, including JS frameworks (jQuery, AngularJS, ReactJS)
PHP/Server-side development (LAMP stack)
CMS experience, particularly WordPress and Drupal
Experience with RESTful APIs
Client-facing experience
Experience of securing data and authentication methods
An understanding of design patterns and a range of data structures
Good knowledge of Linux server administration and infrastructure, deployment and migration strategies
Experience with GIT
Experience with Java, Python or Ruby
