Overview
Salary: £28,000 – £34,000
Location: Kingston upon Thames
Our client is an industry leading retailer with stores across the UK and a strong International presence. They are looking for an experienced HR Advisor to support the Head Office HR function in the heart of Surrey.
This is a 12 month contract with potential to be extended into a permanent contract
Responsibilities:
- Strong knowledge and understanding of current UK employment legislation
- Input and implementation of HR policies and procedures to achieve contribution to Company strategy
- Responsibility for all L&D initiatives in the UK and at a Corporate level
- HR Administration: contracts, employee files and new starters
- Support with reviews and appraisals for all levels of leadership team
- Independently manage the full cycle of internal and external recruitment for leadership positions within set budgets
- Responsible for maintaining and updating recruitment processes and material whilst following current legislation and best practice within the Company
- Creatively and innovatively implement new processes to further the development of the resourcing function and establish cost reducing recruitment avenues and partnerships
Person Specifications:
- CIPD qualified (or equivalent) or studying towards the qualification
- Retail experience would be a hugely preferable
- Strong HR Advisory experience: ability to advise on different issues and to speak confidently around current legislation relating to the Company’s needs
- Evidence of a solid ER background
- Excellent organisation and communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Efficient and adaptable within a fast pace environment
- Competent use of MS office packages (word, excel, PowerPoint) is essential
