Overview

Location: £45,000 plus bonus

Salary: Waterloo, London

The Role

You will be responsible for the effective day-to-day running of the Key Accounts and Agency teams. As an effective manager you will lead, manage and develop all employees in your team. You will plan to exceed budgets and will lead from the front with your own personal sales activity.

Responsibilities

Team Management:

  • Recruiting and interviewing new team members
  • Motivating the team to surpass KPIs
  • Development of the team via on-the-job and product training
  • Conducting frequent appraisals

Sales Management:

  • You will be responsible for a proportion of the Key Accounts client base
  • Your product knowledge of the sector will be paramount
  • You will use your previous face-to-face experience to raise the profile of the products in the industry
  • You will be expected to attend relevant events/conferences
  • You will implement Sales and Account plans to grow your accounts and direct your team effectively

Planning and Sales Initiatives:

  • You will need to create sales and business plans for all products under your remit
  • You will need to compile information for strategic long term plans for your team and Accounts
  • You should always be looking for new initiatives to grow revenue and share and ensure that they are followed through and actioned

Skills and experience required

  • Previous experience managing a sales team
  • Media or Recruitment experience
  • A strong commercial acumen
  • Creative flare
  • Exceptional sales and presentation skills
  • Great interpersonal attitude for engaging clients and managing your team
  • Able to use own initiative
  • Ability to plan and forecast performance
  • Strong negotiation and proposal writing skills
