A rapidly-growing print production company based in Kingston are looking for a strong administrator with experience within the print industry to join them as an Office/Production Manager.

Salary: £28,000 + £3,000 bonus

Key Responsibilities

  • Keep track of the production schedule to ensure all jobs are booked in for production and will be delivered in line with customer expectations
  • Take responsibility for quality control
  • Liaise with customers and suppliers and renegotiate timings as necessary
  • Distribute jobs to production tasks according to skills and availability
  • Help train production staff in relevant skills (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite)
  • Maximise efficiency and cost effectiveness of production
  • Ensure adequate stock of supplies are available
  • Ensure costs including supplier billing and wastage are controlled
  • Manage hired equipment availability using equipment roster
  • Help deliver on customer expectations, deal with issues that may arise
  • Help improve customer communications
  • Assist with production tasks to help meet deadlines
  • Producing quotes

Required Skills/Experience

  • Adobe Creative Suite (particularly InDesign)
  • Experience working in the print industry, ideally in a digital production capacity
  • A professional manner with strong customer-facing and problem resolution ability
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Experience with VDP software (not essential)
  • Strong Excel and data management ability (not essential)
