Location: Kingston upon Thames (Parking Included)

Salary: £33,000 – £37,000 + Team Bonus (OTE £50,000)

The Role

To motivate and manage a team of telesales and telemarketing staff to maximise the sales of products and services to a defined portfolio of clients. To understand in detail customer buying patterns and drivers. To account manage relationships to maximise customer potential. To win and retain new clients through high performance telesales and excellent account management.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coach a team with all elements of managerial support including KPI management, staff appraisals, performance management and training needs
  • Assist with the recruitment of new team members
  • To lead by example in all sales activities including cold calling, upselling, appointment making and diary management of field staff
  • Maintain control of sales activities within team
  • To support and manage a client portfolio thereby providing a significant contribution to the Sales effort through client contact.
  • Establish and build strong client relationships
  • Deliver a first class account management service to clients
  • Deliver against all agreed company and departmental KPI’s and service levels
  • Assist in the development of sales processes to ensure the delivery of both departmental and overall business objectives
  • Produce a weekly report for the MD
  • Work with the Account Managers to develop a detailed tactical business plan for the portfolio of accounts setting clear objectives and targets, with timescales, for the increase in sales revenue from these clients
  • To work with the marketing team to create suitable sales collateral to support the sales process
  • Support the Head of Sales in creating and maintaining key client relationships for the business
  • Ensure that all new, existing or lapsed clients where a service has been sold are smoothly and effectively assimilated into the account development client portfolio thereby maximising revenue opportunities for the business

Relevant experience/skills:

  • Previous success and experience in a Sales Management role leading a team
  • Significant experience in establishing and developing key client sales relationships
  • Proven experience of winning and maximising relationships
  • Experience of proceeding past gatekeepers
  • Proven ability to ‘close the deal’
  • Significant experience with up-selling and cross-selling
  • Have a proactive approach at all times and be able to meet challenges plus have the strength of personality for face to face challenging debates
  • The ability to ensure compliance whilst maintaining an approachable manner, encouraging staff to discuss issues openly to continue to improve standards.
  • Ability to influence and gain commitment at all organisational levels.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills and PC proficiency
  • Strong interpersonal, facilitation and presentation skills
  • Able to work flexibly and under pressure to meet deadlines and targets
  • Previous success and experience in a sales role
  • Previous recognised sales training would be a distinct advantage
