Overview

Our client is a West London based school who is seeking an Administrator ro support the delivery of professional and efficient administrative support for the running of the whole School.

The successful candidate will have strong administration skills and be able to work closely with the Senior School Administrator and other relevant staff to contribute positively to the smooth and effective running of the School on a day-to-day basis.

Salary: £23,000 – £25,000 pro rata, depending on skills, knowledge and experience.

The Person

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

  • Strong, proven administration experience, particularly of supporting varied projects / teams
  • Experience of successful event organisation
  • Proactive in approach, able to show initiative and to cope effectively with possible situations of conflict, stress and pressure
  • Excellent organisational skills, able to work to strict and often conflicting deadlines and with high levels of accuracy
  • Confident IT user with experience of Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel and willing to learn more
  • High level communication skills: verbal, interpersonal and written and able with a range of people including staff, students, parents, VIPs and visitors with diplomacy and tact
  • Flexible attitude towards duties and working patterns in order to fulfill the requirements of the role
  • Willing to work collaboratively across many departments and develop and maintain positive and supportive working relationships
  • Empathy with and a commitment to the aims and ethos of the School
  • Smart appearance with a professional manner, attitude and approach.

DESIRABLE CRITERIA

  • Own transport
  • Experience of maintaining databases and ideally experience with iSAMS
  • Experience of working in a School environment
  • An interest in dance or the performing arts

The Role

  • Support the Senior School Administrator with the administration of student data and whole school administration tasks
  • Support the artistic team  with regular artistic administration including weekly schedule, examination and assessment organisation, arrangements for visiting teachers/guests etc.
  • Organise licensing requirements
  • Organise  auditions in liaison with the artistic and Outreach & Access teams
  • BUPA administration including appropriate liaison with artistic, pastoral and medical staff
  • Support organisation and delivery of School events including Prospective Parent days, Parent Teacher meetings etc.
  • Parent communications as needed
  • Support School-wide administration and Front of House teams, providing cover where needed
  • Any other duties as may reasonably be required that fall within the scope and range of the job.
